AUPP’s alumna Sokunthyda Long, assisted the return of 14 stolen sculptures to Cambodia!

Edenbridge Asia and founder Brad Gordon, along with the help and support from the Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, Homeland Security Investigations, and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and other important liaisons, have been successful in returning artifacts back to Cambodia.

Sokunthyda Long, Fulbright Scholar and New York attorney, has been a member of Edenbridge’s restitution team in returning looted antiquities and assisted the return of 14 stolen sculptures on 3 July 2024, which were formerly housed in New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Since 2020, Sokunthyda has been involved in gathering testimonies from former looters and witnesses of the smuggling of artifacts and sculptures, documenting evidence and assisting in the negotiations of their return.
