Romeo Taganas

RJ is a seasoned student affairs practitioner, educator and community leader with nearly 15 years of experience. Most recently, he served as the Head of Student Life and Leadership Development at the National Teachers College, a premier institution for teacher education in the Philippines. He also served as a Philosophy instructor in several reputable universities and colleges.

A strong advocate for servant leadership and transformative leadership, RJ is committed to empowering individuals and fostering positive change. He is an active advocate for social justice and environmental sustainability. He has been involved in various community initiatives and volunteer organizations since college in San Beda University.

RJ’s research interests lie at the intersection of philosophy and politics, with a particular focus on the works of Immanuel Kant, Mahatma Gandhi, and Michel Foucault. He once presented and published a paper about the philosophy of non-violence of Mahatma Gandhi in Societas Ethica Philosophica, Inc.

A licensed professional teacher in Values Education, RJ is passionate about fostering holistic student development. When not immersed in academic pursuits or community work, he enjoys outdoor activities, sports, reading, and exploring the world.
