Tepmony Sim, Ph.D.

Dr. Tepmony Sim received his bachelor degree in B.Sc. Mathematics from the Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in 2002. He then continued to the National Institute of Education (NIE) where he earned a teacher training certificate in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. One year later, he was awarded Erasmus Mundus scholarship for a prestigious international Master’s program of Models and Methods of Quantitative Economics (QEM) in Germany, France and Italy. In 2013, he was awarded a competitive scholarship for his Ph.D. study in Applied Mathematics and Statistics at the Télécom ParisTech, France. In 2018, Dr. Tepmony Sim joined the faculty at the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP), where he teaches a number of courses on Mathematics for engineering and business majors. The courses include Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Probability and Statistics. His research interest focus on time series of counts, probability theory, statistics, differential geometry and area around data science.
