Monyrath Buntoun earned an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Syracuse University through the prestigious Fulbright Foreign Student Program. She also holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Royal University of Phnom Penh and a B.A. in English for Professional Communication from the Institute of Foreign Languages. Her fields of specialization and research interests lies in Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Computer Vision and AI Ethics.
Monyrath has a strong track record of applying her skills in real-world settings, including leading the development team, collaborating in research projects and developing web solutions for local and international clients.
A passionate advocate for equitable access to technology education, Monyrath is committed to developing digital talents in Cambodia, particularly inspiring women in STEM fields, through teaching, mentoring, and public engagement. Her commitment to excellence is reflected in her recognition as a recipient of the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Scholarship, the CSS Conf & JS Conf EU Diversity Scholarship, and as a YSEALI Academy Fellow.
