Ketsela Demissie

Dr. Ketsela Hailu Demissie, is currently an associate professor at the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP). He obtained his PhD, MSc and BSc degrees in Mathematics from the most prestigious university of Addis Ababa. He has 19 plus years of teaching, research and leadership experience in different private and state universities found in various parts of the world such as in Ethiopia, in China and in Germany. Dr. Ketsela has taught various undergraduate and post graduate courses for Science, Engineering and Business students. He is also a certified educational consultant as well as licensed for teaching in higher education institutions.

Dr. Ketsela continued his contributions by serving at various academic and top level leadership positions in different universities including vice president, chief registrar, academic program unit head and department head. He was also a member of the board of directors for three academic institutions and also served as a chairperson of a governing board. During his leadership services, he has successfully lead a number of institutional level and country level system transformational projects.

His research interest focuses on applied algebra, algebraic geometry and generalized ring theoretic notions. He has published a number of articles in international and reputable journals, coordinated multiple international conferences in Mathematics and co-founded the Ethiopian Mathematics professionals association.
