David Valente

David Valente has over 25 years of experience in the school, further and higher education sectors as a classroom practitioner, teacher educator, researcher, project manager, program developer, educational consultant, author and editor. His professional experience spans diverse learning contexts in Australasia, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa and his research interests include in-service teacher education, interculturality and critical literacies. His doctoral study explores the potential of multimodal texts for fostering critical interculturality in transnational teacher education. David is Communications Director for the newly established Early Language Learning Research Association and Reviews Editor for the diamond open-access journal Children’s Literature in English Language Education. He recently co-edited the volume Innovative Practices in Early English Language Education published by Palgrave Macmillan.
