Barry Walker

Dr. Barry Walker is the Dean of Law and Associate Professor of Law at the American University of Phnom Penh and a Professor of Practice for the University of Arizona.

Dr. Walker earned his Juris Doctor (JD) from the Cumberland School of Law, Samford University and an LL.M. in Litigation and Dispute Resolution from The George Washington University. He has 20 years of legal experience in the United States, specializing in complex civil litigation, mediation, arbitration, and dispute resolution. Over the course of his career, he litigated numerous cases to jury trial and participated in many arbitrations. He has also taught trial techniques to practicing attorneys across the U.S. as a faculty member of the Keenan Trial Institute.

Before joining AUPP, Dr. Walker served as the Academic Dean at Broward College Vietnam, where he also taught business and hospitality law in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. He began his legal career as a law clerk for U.W. Clemon, the first Black Federal Judge in the State of Alabama.

In his spare time, Dr. Walker enjoys international travel, reading, and listening to music.
